Flight control System V1

Designed and manufactured, Dual Flaps that represent an aircraft’s surface driven via dual actuators that translate a bell crank attached to the control surfaces. V1 uses manual inputs to drive both flaps synchronously.

Prototype PCB

Breadboard Circuit design, Soldered into a prototype PCB, powering the dual actuation system. A4988 Motor driver is powered by a DC barrel jack port, controlled with 2 pushbuttons for direction and rotation.

 
 

Dual Actuators

Designed and manufactured the dual actuators powered by a NEMA 17 stepper motor rated at 1.5 A. The actuator’s body includes support for an elongated position of the rod linkage. Screw  Lead and Screw Ball cap were lubricated with Super Lube-21030 Synthetic lubricant to reduce friction and allow for a smoother travel.
